SALEM CENTRAL PRISON WELFARE PROJECT
This is a project for the inmates of Salem Central prison and the female prison for their development, empowerment and transformation. Tamilnadu Government has given permission to Salem YMCA to get inside the prison for the welfare programs and activities.
Salem Central prison is one among the Central prisons in India and it is specialized for habitual prisoners. So it is big challenge for us to change their attitude towards a good task. Around 1000 prisoners are there in Central prison and 60 prisoners are imprisoned in female prison. According to the need Salem YMCA is working inside the prison.
